Nacional: nos trilhos do futebol brasileiro discusses the origin of soccer sport in Brazil as well as the Nacional Atlético Clube history, in São Paulo. The team was origined from São Paulo Railway Athletic Club's employees, The English Railway Company where Charles Miller - the “father” of our Ludopédio - worked. Leandro Massoni Ilhéu author’s book points out that Miller organized the first soccer games by rules in São Paulo. And he also brings us society characteristics in the first decades of the 20th century by means of subthemes such as culture, racism, urbanism and press, all connected to soccer aspects. The book touch on stories of well-known soccer characters as Jair Picerni, José Luiz Carbone e Rubens Minelli. The narrative of the book shows hope, difficulties and resilience of those employees, coaches and young aspirant players whose lives were linked to the soccer team on its100th anniversary.
