French photographer Alain Barbero, born in the city of Annecy in 1960, has stood out in the European art scene with the uniqueness and inventiveness of his work, marked by great thematic diversity, depicting the search for the most prosaic aspects of social life, especially in the urban spaces of European capitals. His original use of black and white surrounds his images with a seductive romantic plasticity, echoing a fragile melancholy, often disturbing, but which reveals unexplored constitutive aspects in the landscapes and people he portrays in his wanderings through countries such as France, Germany, Austria and the United States.
