This article aims to present how the Brazilian media outlets appeared in the coverage of the main international newspapers and news agencies that worked in the country during the Brazilian Military Regime (1964-1985). With this historiographic effort, this research allows studies about: the distinctions between methods of censorship applied to national and international media outlets; the evolution in the changes of Brazilian and American foreign policies into the 21 years of the dictatorship, reflected in transnational journalism; the development of Brazilian national media and its political influence, including the forced alterations on its journalistic reality by the Cold War logics. These objectives wish to allow a multidisciplinary and transnational research.
