The Writing with Fire documentary follows the daily life of the Indian paper Khabar Lahariya, which produces and spreads news in small villages where the media in a major sense is not present. This work, therefore, seeks to analyze, verbally, how the audiovisual material presents community journalism as an agent of transformations in favor of marginalized groups. It was possible to conclude that Khabar Lahariya made possible for the population to realize the context of the reality of its community and, from this, to reflect on the current social dynamics. Also, the protagonism of the people in the production of the news made the repercussion of the reality in which they live to be possible in a systematic and continuous way, engaging the population so that their demands were met.
