The present work has as its theme The Conquest of Space: The Women on Rádio Santareno. The purpose is to show the importance of women in radio broadcasting, to allow access to the job market, opportunities have only favored men. The objective of the work is to investigate the absence of women within the radio, to understand the reason. The result shows that the Brazilian woman wants to join the radio, but the opportunity was not granted due to the company's lack of interest in hiring, when she is called to occupy a position, she experiences some embarrassment. It is concluded that the market does not choose genre, the voice on the radio today is not as fundamental as before.
