The use of portable equipment to camera sensation kitesurfing

The use of portable cameras for capturing extreme sports images made it possible to generate subjective impressions by the density of the takes. Athletes carry small devices as extensions of the body to promote plans that represent performance movements that are increasingly close to aspects about the reality. Therefore, investigating the relations of man with technological apparatus can promote the understanding of how these results are presented in contemporary cinema, more specifically in the documentary genre. For this, this paper relates the empirical procedure to the theoretical contribution of communication, technology and cinema, guided by authors such as Marshall McLuhan, Marialva Barbosa, Álvaro Vieira Pinto and Arlindo Machado. For this research, images were taken in July 2017 of the kitesurfing modality, with the use of portable equipment, including cameras that promote objective images to capture maneuvers and testimonials and small cameras used to record subjective images with motion print. This extreme sport has been disseminated in several countries and has gained fans in Brazil since its arrival in 2000, gaining participation for the first time in the Olympic Games in 2024, in Paris (FR). The images for analysis were taken in the fishing village of Preá, in Cruz city, near the international tourist destination, Jericoacoara, Ceará. The region is pole of practice because it presents specific conditions for performance, such as the intensity and wind direction required.
