Communication is one of the pillars of the International Olympic Movement. In addition to informing the public about what happens at the Olympic Games, the media, mainly television, are the main financiers of the International Olympic Committee, through the purchase of broadcasting rights. However, the technological and paradigmatic change in communication in recent years poses future challenges and has already changed the way in which national Olympic committees structure their communication departments. In an interview, the communication director of the Brazilian Olympic Committee, Paulo Conde, describes how the work is currently developed and reflects on the future challenges of Olympic communication.
