The role of former athletes as sports commentators has generated much debate in Brazil, not only among professionals in the field, but also among viewers who follow the increasing number of sports broadcasting options on a variety of channels, on TV or online. The interview with Rubens Pozzi, journalist and chief editor of ESPN/Disney channels, can help us reflect a little more on this type of professional who is increasingly common in the national media nowadays.
