Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a cobertura da imprensa portuguesa sobre a “Marcha Nacional por Reforma Agrária, Emprego e Justiça”, ocorrida em 1997 e promovida Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais sem Terra (MST). A proposta justifica-se levando em consideração que poucos estudos têm se voltado para a cobertura da mídia internacional sobre o Movimento. Para o trato analítico do material empírico, recorre-se à perspectiva interdisciplinar da Análise de Discurso Crítica, procurando fixar os temas e os enquadramentos que produziram esse conjunto de discursos jornalísticos. A pesquisa foi realizada em quatro jornais diários, um jornal semanal e uma revista semanal portugueses e constituiu um corpus de 32 peças jornalísticas
