Open Access
Journal Alterjor (ISSN 2176-1507) is an open access journal based on the following principles:

Academic journal owned by Universidade de São Paulo, whose institutional resources enables unrestricted and unhindered free access, with interoperability resources from indexing services, directories and digital libraries;

Open Access contributes to the democratisation of scientific knowledge, strengthening the links between Academia and the community.

Licensing through the Creative Commons open model with free permission to share files, whose obligations involve mentioning the original authors, maintaining the non-commercial nature (prohibiting future charges or the transfer of storage charges to other servers) and maintaining the originality status of the contribution (remixing is only allowed by the original authors).

Authors retain their copyright with the assignment of first publication of the original manuscript to the Alterjor Journal by Creative Commons license.

Indexing and Identification: use of the Document Object Identifier (DOI) protocol compatible with open access tools WITHOUT RESTRICTION to the Internet Protocol identification assigned to internal use on campuses and educational institutions and automatic from the individual ORCID registration with integration to Crossref, Google Scholar, with permission for republication on academic social networks such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu.

TOTAL AND COMPLETE EXEMPTION from Article Processing FEES. (Article Processing Charge - APC). There is NO APC charge from submission, eventual acceptance for publication upon evaluation, or at the publication stage. NO CHARGE is required nor will it be tolerated as a prerequisite for submission or publication.

NO PAYWALL, embargo, or charge for access to contents. From the date of the issue release, all contents will be free access.

Credibility and Quality: Evaluation with scientific criteria: contributions are assigned to reviewers without either party knowing about the other (authors are not revealed and reviewers are not credited to the authors) to prioritize the quality of the written content, regardless of names and without interference from authors on who evaluates, with the aim of offering an impartial process.

Equity and Inclusion: contributions submitted to the Alterjor Journal are not charged nor will they be automatically discarded based on the number of articles from affiliation with educational institutions.

Facilitated communication between author and Editor-in-Chief through the "Comments to the Editor" and "Send message to the Editor" fields.

Diversity of Bibliographic Sources: Contributions submitted by researchers from other countries in their native language will always be welcome for evaluation and, once acceptance is decided, will be published in full in their original status, including the visibility of unpublished works of an alternative nature that would not appear in journals or books published by commercial publishers.
