Submissões

To compose each edition, Revista Aspas accepts contributions from researchers holding a master's or doctoral degree, or those enrolled in postgraduate programs (master's or doctoral level). Undergraduate students may also submit contributions, provided these are co-authored with faculty members holding a master’s or doctoral degree.

All submissions must include abstracts in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. The body of the text must be in Portuguese.

Submissions are evaluated based on established criteria concerning formatting, normalization, relevance to the issue's theme, significance, and originality. In the case of academic articles, proposals are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.

Occasionally, the journal may accept contributions from artists and/or professionals related to the Performing Arts, whose work is relevant to the issue's theme, subject to approval by the Editorial Team responsible for that edition.

Submission Conditions

Articles and other contributions (e.g., interviews and reviews) must align with the issue’s thematic proposal and adhere to the editorial guidelines.

Each contributor may submit only one piece per issue. Authors may not publish in consecutive issues.

Submissions must be original and unpublished, including not having appeared as book chapters. By authorizing publication, the contributor grants Revista Aspas the right to first publication.

Texts will only receive feedback if forwarded for peer review. If not approved in the initial screening, the journal is not obligated to provide a review or feedback.

Peer Review Process

Submitted articles that meet the journal’s requirements are reviewed by two referees under a double-blind system: reviewers are unaware of authorship, and authors do not know who reviewed their work. Evaluations are shared anonymously and without metadata.

Reviewers are qualified professionals with proven experience in Performing Arts, preferably PhDs. They are invited and selected by the editorial board.

Articles may be:

  • Accepted without changes;

  • Accepted with suggested revisions;

  • Rejected.
    In case of divergent reviews, a third reviewer will be consulted.

The Editorial Team may also invite national or international authors for contributions, informing the Editorial Board accordingly.

The contents of published texts are entirely the responsibility of the authors.

Registration and login are required to submit work and follow the editorial process.
