This article derives from my PhD research, in which I investigate the characteristics of theatrical production and management in a Latin American context of works, groups, ensembles and artists circumscribed within what I defined as minor theater; a metaphor inspired by Deleuze’s and Guattari’s reflections on minor literature. Theatrical works where the artist (especially actors and actresses) also has management attributions were taken as practical reference, aiming to question both production and management processes as exclusively instrumental, and observing their implications as a medium. This change of perspective aims to reorganize the production process, suggesting that the relationship between creative and production processes defines the ideological practices of this type of “theater making”.
