Abstract

This work is originated in the speech of the author at the opening of the 3rd SPA, Seminário de Pesquisas em Andamento, which took place at ECA-USP, in November 2013. Starting from the life affirming in Nietzsche and the concept of epistemology of the south by Boaventura Sousa Santos, the article aims to discuss the question of the epistemological models made by research in contemporary art in the Brazilian academic context.
