Presentation of the research project "Actor Formation: A Proposal Based on the Technical Work of the Group Varasanta"

This investigation presents a project to map acting formation technical work developed by Varasanta, a Colombian theatrical group, with the objective of creating a system of actor preparation. The project is structured following three basic lines: theoretical, historical, and practical. The project is also fundamentally based on a methodology of participant observation and on the presumptions that underlie the work of Cepeca (Centro de Pesquisa em Experimentação Cênica do Ator, da ECA-USP). Aiming at making explicit the work principles and to evaluate the efficiency of the training system that will be developed for young actor formation, the creation of a Scenic Exercise, a Technical Demonstration, and a control-group course are planned. At the end of the investigation, and in addition to this thesis, the scenic result obtained during the entire process will be presented.
