Abstract

Mozart Camargo Guarnieri was, undoubtedly, one of the greatest and most influential Brazilian composers of the 20th century. His work was recognized all over the world, especially after the 1950s, when he became a national and international reference in modernism, along with other important composers, such as Heitor Villa-Lobos and Francisco Mignone. Although he was one the most famous in the composition area, there are manuscript records without a final, corrected and revised edition. This study aims to fill the gap that exists today, with a critical edition of his Quartet No. 3 (1962), including the full score and its respective individual parts.

  • Diego Rueda

    Diego Rueda é graduado em Licenciatura Plena em Música, pela Universidade de Ribeirão Preto (2018).  Formado em curso Técnico de Música pelo conservatório W. Mozart (2013), nos cursos de Piano Erudito, Piano Popular e Violão Erudito. Atualmente trabalha como professor de curso técnico em Percepção, Tecnologia da Música, Canto Coral, Teoria da Música e Prática de Banda. Também é arranjador, editor de partitura e instrumentista.

  • Lucas E. S. Galon, University of São Paulo

    Lucas E. S. Galon é doutor e mestre em Musicologia, pela Escola de Comunicação e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Trabalha como professor do curso de Licenciatura Plena em Música, na Universidade de Ribeirão Preto (Unaerp), diretor artístico-pedagógico da Academia Livre de Música e Artes (Ribeirão Preto-SP), coordenador artístico-pedagógico da Instituição Aparecido Savegnago (Sertãozinho-SP). É membro efetivo do NAP-Cipem (Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto – USP) e do Núcleo Docente Estruturante da Unaerp. Também é diretor artístico do Festival Música Nova. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Educação Artística, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: História da Música, História da Arte, Estética Musical, Composição Musical, Arranjo e Regência.
