Abstract

Arthur Dapieve é jornalista, escritor e professor do Departamento de Comunicação Social da PUC-Rio. Nasceu em 1963, no Rio de Janeiro. Seu primeiro livro publicado foi “BRock: o rock brasileiro dos anos 80”, resultado, como ele mesmo relata, de sua experiência na cobertura jornalística dos feitos musicais de sua geração. Nesta entrevista exclusiva, Dapieve fala sobre o BRock e seus desdobramentos no campo da música popular brasileira até os dias atuais; faz um relato sobre a emergência dos festivais de música ao ar livre na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, onde o rock começou a despontar como ícone da juventude e a chamar a atenção da mídia; e revela a sua visão sobre o contexto que proporcionou a longevidade do Rock in Rio, bem como a formação de sua audiência multigeracional.
