O artigo discute algumas temáticas diretamente relacionadas ao universo e aos pressupostos do Centro de Mídia independente Brasil, como os conceitos de cidadania, comunicação livre, as transformações no jornalismo alternativo na era da internet, e a relação da comunicação com os movimentos sociais, buscando, ao final, traçar um primeiro esboço do perfil de quem realiza o veículo estudado
