Every day the media broadcasts news regarding femicide or other types of violence against women. This article intends to analyze the fact that even news involving women and not about this direct and cultural violence, but about approaches from the female world (such as International Women's Day, for example) can have a load of violence in subliminal messages . And how do women receive this news? Do they feel represented by them? We selected some images published by the MBL (Free Brazil Movement) on its Facebook page, on International Women's Day 2018 and 2019, and showed them to members of the feminist collective Panapanã Women's Network of Northwest São Paulo, from Votuporanga, as a way of having feedback from this reading and to propose a media literacy program with this group of women.
