The study asks about the new forms of musical production sired by the use and access to technology and its relationship to the emergence of independent markets, reorganizing patterns and logical of cultural production by the hegemonic media. The research reported focuses on the trajectory of the singer Gaby Amarantos, questioning, from its insertion in the Brazilian media and discourses built there – since the moment of their first national insertions (2010) to the height of her exhibition (2012) –, how artists make use of new types of media to disseminate their work and how, in doing so, provide visibility a new way of consuming and producing music.Downloads
