Analysis of academic research in performing arts on black theater and black performance, within postgraduate programs, at Brazilian federal public universities, carried out by black researchers from the 1980s to 2020. The objective is to identify the methodological and theoretical paths developed by these artists to outline a possible pedagogy of the black Brazilian theater scene. The work of Winny Rocha at UFOP (2018), Cristiane Sobral at UNB (2016) and Danielle Anatólio at UNIRIO (2018) is used as a sample. It is clear that these artists, in their academic/artistic research, produce autobiographical works that strengthen their blackness.
