The various projects wich have guided the creation of schools of Education at university level have shown two different lines: one considers that such school should take mainly on the role of providing the University with the very universitarian character; the other stresses the school as a center designed mainly to meet the demand of professional training. This paper aims at presenting a review of the alluded lines as well as evaluating their influence upon the conceptualization of courses designed for the formation of educators.Downloads
