Joint urban operation Vila Sonia and the possibility of dialogue

Abstract

It presents the Urban Operation as one of the urban instruments more used in the last four administrations of the city of São Paulo. Although criticized as a strategy for meeting the interests of the neighborhoods most valued and the real estate requires, by law, demand open and free participation of the population and all those involved in the drafting and management. Operation Urban Villa Sonia was announced and presented in 2004. Continues to appear on newspapers, alarming the local population of Butantã, even without having been approved in the City of Council. It´s a good example of the inability to dialogue with social movements.
