The Antikythera mechanism is a geocentric astronomical instrument that allows predicting both past and future events with singular precision. Studied by researchers for more than a century, this extraordinary portable Cosmos reveals the amazing puzzles of its structure and functioning that fascinate researchers from many different areas. This article deals in particular with presenting some current investigations related to stars and eclipses that, in turn, define possible regions and date of construction of the apparatus.
