The research in archives, comprehending the recovery of the so called primary sources, proves itself important for the process of re-thinking the role of critics in the revision of the history of literature. Turning its attention to that which is fragmentary, corrected, and incomplete, it becomes a metaphor for the literary text, and for a more open attitude of the contemporary literary criticism.
