About the Journal
Founded by Egon Shaden in 1953, Revista de Antropologia was the first Brazilian journal of anthropology. At present, it is the international and bilingual journal of the Department of Anthropology of the Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences Faculty at the University of São Paulo – FFLCH/USP.
Revista de Antropologia will adopt, starting in 2023, the continuous publication modality with one volume per year. It will accept Articles, Reviews, Interviews, Dossiers and Photographic Essays at any time of the year, as submissions and publications are made in a continuous flow.
Revista de Antropologia Mission
Revista de Antropologia aims to publish research results involving methodological processes and theoretical discussions related to Anthropology and its interdisciplinary connections. The Journal publishes original articles, interviews and literary reviews, offering to its public an updated overview of the discipline in Brazil and abroad.

This journal offers instant free access to its content, in accordance with the principle that providing free scientific knowledge to the public contributes to greater worldwide democratization of knowledge. All content published in Revista de Antropologia is under a Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0 Deed) license - 4.0 International Attribution.., that allows immediate free access to the material for users to read, download, print, copy and redistribute with appropriate credit for non-commercial purposes.
