The pervasive computing is one of the characteristics of the information society, which provides greater diversity and availability in offering collections of data and information. Currently the informational problem is not the lack of data and information, but its excess, which makes complex and lengthy process of analysis of the quality and selection of digital content, is such contents in databases or information repositories. Aiming to improve this process, this paper proposes an artifact that makes the analysis of the quality of digital collections. This artifact is innovative by direct actions on the basis of priorities and considers specific databases and information repositories aspects. The research is qualitative and applied the technique of group discussion, covering the initial stages of the design science research (DSR), phases associated with the design and the affordance of an artifact of a scientific nature. Five researchers were trained in the use of the artifact, which used it to analyze five collections associated with micro and small Brazilian companies, being three data available in the database and two data available at information repositories. The proposed device was evaluated using a scale of opinions and attitudes. The processes of research contributed to the evolution of the artifact, identifying and implementing improvement points that made the most functional artifact according to its users and more suitable for the next stage of DSR, which implies the utility test.Downloads
