Abstract

The authors studying again inguinal hysterocele ocurred in twelve bitches, they verified six cases with the presence of a pregnant uterine horn in the hernial sac; three cases with pyometra; two cases with fetal death and postmortem changes (maceration and mummification); and one case with chronic metritis. The incidence, the types, the diagnosis, the evolution and the surgical technic of this condition are discussed at this point of view concerned. Based on a research in the literature and on clinical observations the authors find that little attention has been given to the question in veterinary surgery.
