Abstract

There were tested 210 serum samples from dogs of São Paulo city by the indirect fluorescent antibody technique. Among them, 72% were positive suggesting that the toxoplasmosis in an infection widely disseminated among dogs. There was no significant difference, between sex, in the occurrence of positive and negative results. The higher proportion of positive results was observed among dogs older than 2 (two) years. The more frequent value of the antibody titer was 256.
