Anachronism and contemporanity in a medieval Bandeira

Abstract

In Itinerário de Pasárgada Manuel Bandeira declare that, as he wrote the "Cantar de amor" in the galitian-portuguese language, he intended, without success, to do a fourteenth century poem. This essay demonstrates how the modern subject goes for the medieval feeling ways, employing that linguistic code, but being conditioned by another one, that of the poet himself.
