This article debates some aspects of the magazine Hedgehog (Ioj), considered one of the best Soviet publications aimed at Pioneer children. Some sections will be highlighted and analyzed, from a literary and graphic point of view, in particular the 1928 and 1929 editions, before socialist realism became the country's official aesthetic. Created by the editor and poet Samuil Marchak (1887–1964), the magazine brought together important writers and painters from various artistic trends that proliferated at the beginning of the 20th century, incorporating innovative poetic, graphic and educational experiences.
