This article examines the tension between the creation of art and institutional education through Sergei Eisenstein's pedagogical practices at the VGIK. It explores the hypothesis that the filmmaker's intense teaching period coincided with a deepening of the reflection on creative process, resulting in increasingly complex works. The study demonstrates the viability of an educational model integrated within an aesthetic-political project, while highlighting the inherent challenges of translating the creative act into pedagogy.
