After addressing certain aspects of the history of modern Brazilian documentary, especially its relationship with female authorship, we will highlight a little-known film, A entrevista (1966, Helena Solberg), and collates it with recent documentaries, especially Os dias com ele (2013, Maria Clara Escobar). In this collation, the male and female voices are discussed in documentaries made by women in two historical periods. Pioneer to discuss the conflict and desire of women, the first documentary, cut the woman's voice and delivery to the assertive male voice. In more recent documentaries, women seem reaffirming their voices.
