The problem of cultural identify in Brazil was established in the XIX century with the first social science studies in the country. Since that time, it has been approached from different angles intimately linked to the socio-economic conditions of the various moments in which that identify has been defined. A more thorough observation demonstrates that, contrary to Europe, there is a synonymity between cultural identity and national identity.Downloads
